You can choose to be the child's only sponsor and select all of the shares, or you can choose a portion of the shares and another sponsor(s) will take the remaining shares. Jean Maky really enjoys school and often chooses homework or studying over playing soccer with his friends. He knows that he is lucky to be going to school and he is conscientious not to take it for granted.
Jean Maky lives with his parents & older brother. Both of his parents do odd jobs in the neighbourhood and have sporadic hours. Jean Maky and his brother help out around the house and it is Jean Maky’s job to carry water from the local well to fill their storage barrel.
The past year has been tough in Haiti due to the political unrest and COVID-19 but it has been especially tough for Jean Maky’s family. His older sister passed away unexpectedly in 2019 and they are still grieving.
Helping this bright young boy to finish school would be a huge blessing for this family, and it would give them a glimpse of hope when they desperately need it!
