You can choose to be the child's only sponsor and select all of the shares, or you can choose a portion of the shares and another sponsor(s) will take the remaining shares. Frantz is from the mountain community of Tetebef. His parents are farmers and Frantz has grown up working the fields and helping his parents sell their produce. Last year he had the opportunity to stay with his Aunt & Uncle in Grand Goave and start school. Despite having a very late start in school, he did well and has made some good friends. During the summer he went back up to Tetebef, and he will continue to go help with the farm on school breaks.
Frantz also enjoys playing soccer and hanging with his new friends.
His family was able to pay for his school last year but the political unrest and Covid-19 restrictions have really hurt them. They need help if they’re going to keep Frantz in school.
Helping Frantz stay in school will provide hope for his family, and allow them to focus on the essentials while still keeping his education a priority.
