We are partnering with Deux Mains (Two Hands) to provide school shoes to students in Haiti. Our unique partnership increases our impact in Haiti and enables us to be a leader in changing the way Haitians are empowered.
In Haiti, very few people have full time jobs. Yet every student needs a good pair of school shoes. Making shoes in Haiti makes sense for school children and the craftspeople who make them. The shoes are designed to fit local uniform requirements, and made stylish enough for young students to love them. With uppers made from genuine leather, and soles from durable rubber, the shoes are built to last despite the long mountain road commutes.
In their solar powered factory, every shoe Deux Mains crafts in Haiti uses upcycled or responsibly-sourced materials. The leather is sourced right in Haiti.
Behind every shoe is a Master Haitian craftsperson with a unique identity, skill set, and passion for creating products that are made to last.
You can learn more about Deux Mains by viewing their website, and more information about their shoe program can be found on this brochure: Deux Main School Shoes.
Shoes retail for $40.
