This Fall is an exciting time for us as it will be our first chance to come alongside families in Haiti by ensuring their children have an opportunity to go to school.
Our education program currently has 12 Elementary students, 8 High School students and 2 Post-Secondary students - for a total of 22 students! That may seem like a small drop in the bucket but as they say in Haiti...
"ti kras pa ti kras vwazo fe nich li" (little by little a bird makes a nest)
As some of these sponsorships started months ago we’ve been able to provide the families with food hampers to help them through the spring & summer.
Many schools in Haiti opened early so that they could finish off the 2019/20 school year. Within the next few weeks they will be transitioning students into their new grades and officially starting the 2020/21 school year. A few schools have already made the switch and are in full swing.
This is where we need help from you!
While 13 of our students are fully funded, the other 9 still need a sponsor, or partial sponsorship. We need to get these students fully sponsored within the next few weeks so that they can register before the 2020/21 school year begins.
Sponsoring a child is so much more than just helping to provide them with an education - it’s providing their family with hope for tomorrow!
Alongside's sponsorship program is unique as it encourages families to stay together while still giving them access to receive financial help for their children's education. It also allows us to build a relationship with the student's family and provide them with additional support such as small business loans, and relief food.

If you aren't able to commit to sponsoring a child monthly, you can help us support these students until a long-term sponsor is found by making a donation to the General Education Fund.

Login or sign up using the email address you used when donating. Click on MY PROFILE in top right corner. Choose MY SPONSORSHIPS. Each student has an album within their profile.
