A note from the Board of Directors:

You are who you are... because that’s who you are!

Our founder's story shows how Renel & Rebecca have embraced who they are as a couple, and their passion for strengthening families is contagious. They have committed as a family to find creative ways to strengthen other families, and advocate for family preservation.

Our vision as an organization is for all families in Haiti to have access to education and have sufficient income to be able to provide for their family’s essential needs. We will work towards our vision by coming alongside families, and family units, in practical ways.

We are still waiting for the CRA to approve our request for a charitable status. We have recently had communication with them and things are moving along! Please join us in praying for God's continued guidance over the startup process for Alongside.

Together we can make a difference!!

Sincerely,
Scott, Albert, Teresa, Diane & Leanne

The packs will be filled with supplies (purchased locally in Haiti) and given to students in need.

If you intended to purchase a pack, but didn't get around to doing it, we still have some available and they can be purchased using this link.

Meet Boaz Moline

Boaz is a recent High School graduate who has applied for a Post-Secondary Scholarship with Alongside.
Boaz lives in Grande Goave with his father and two younger sisters. Their mother died in the earthquake (in 2010) and since then, their father has juggled several jobs to provide for them. Boaz is a kind, quiet-spoken young man and is well known for his respectful nature. He is a natural leader among his peers and within the church family. He is on the youth group leadership team and he is one of the band leaders. Boaz enjoyed High School very much and takes initiative to help his younger sisters in their studies. When he is not busy in school, or helping at home, Boaz enjoys playing soccer and working part-time jobs. He paints, tutors and does a variety of labour jobs. He especially likes to translate for visiting teams and has worked hard to learn enough English to do so.

Boaz would like to pursue a Diploma at a Technical University in Port-au-Prince. The program is called “Sciences Informatiques” - Science of Information. This 4 year diploma would give him a solid foundation in computers and would allow for career options such as; a Technician for Digicel or Natcom, a teacher in a High School or College, or creating his own business centre.
