The monthly amount needed to sponsor a student is divided into shares - each share is $10/month. You can choose to be the child's only sponsor and select all of the shares, or you can choose a portion of the shares and another sponsor(s) will take the remaining shares. Woodchamaella likes school but she has some complaints… she thinks there should be a day dedicated to dancing, she thinks the school uniforms should be pink (her favourite colour), and she thinks her little sister (Chama) should be allowed in her class!
Woodchamaella, Chama, and their brother, live in Grande Goave with their mom. Their dad hasn’t been involved with the family for many years and their mom works in the kitchen of a roadside restaurant.
Woodchamaella doesn’t know what she wants to do when she finishes school but we’re sure that her creativity, confidence, and courage will help guide her.
